President Muhammadu Buhari condemns ethnic clashes in Nigeria

first_imgMuhammadu Buhari sworn in as Nigeria’s president Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday condemned clashes in the western Taraba state that left scores dead.The clashes between Jukun and Tiv ethnic groups occurred on Friday, and also left tens of people injured.Other clashes also occurred in Adamawa state, prompting President Buhari’s condemnation.The cause of the clashes has not yet been established.“The recent violent clashes between Jukuns and Tivs in Taraba State, and the Fulani, Genjon and Bachama in Adamawa State are needless and saddening.
