first_imgSOUTH SAN GABRIEL – Three people were killed and three others injured in a four-vehicle collision Saturday night. The crash on Rosemead Boulevard near San Gabriel Boulevard occurred about 9:10 p.m. when a 1990 Cadillac headed north on Rosemead Boulevard collided with three southbound vehicles, said Sgt. Arturo Proctor of the California Highway Patrol’s East Los Angeles Station. The collision killed the male driver of the Cadillac, a female passenger, and a 60-year-old Downey woman who was a passenger in a 1999 Nissan Maxima, one of the southbound vehicles. The driver of the Nissan, a 59-year-old Downey man, and the driver of a 1998 Honda Accord, a 27-year-old Pico Rivera man, suffered major injuries and were transported to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, Proctor said. The crash left debris scattered across the roadway and closed Rosemead Boulevard in both directions near San Gabriel Boulevard for five hours, Proctor said. The identities of the dead are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, said Lt.
